Meet dr. Haik

FRANCIS HAIK, DMD

Francis Haik, DMD

As a dentist, it is an honor and pleasure to serve each one of you in maintaining and furthering your goals for a healthier smile. I feel lucky that I care for a diverse community and the uniqueness of each person. I find great joy in getting to know my patients, building a long-term relationship, and smile when people tell me they look forward to the next visit.

Dental care is a journey that I personally take with each person. It starts with a conversation that allows me to learn that individual’s needs, wants, and goals. Together, we make a plan to achieve these goals.

As we work on improving this individual’s oral health, we get to know each other and develop a close relationship. The best moments are always the times we have finished treatment and I see the genuine happiness coming from the beautiful smile we created together.

My days are filled with heart-felt and meaningful conversations to help people mentally and physically. Whether I’m caring for a child’s first visit to the dentist, fully rehabilitating mouths, or enhancing one’s smile, I’m touching and changing lives. Dentistry is so much more than treating teeth: It’s caring for people on a one-to-one level. I cannot think of a better way to spend my days.

I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and then moved to Wichita, Kansas in my teen years. After graduating dental school, I practiced in Oregon for a few years before meeting my wife, Sandy, in Michigan. We have a beautiful daughter, Clare, who absolutely fills our life with laughter, joy, and happiness. We enjoy road trips, walks in the park, activities by the lake, and spending time with our family.

Education

My undergraduate degree was received at Wichita State University. I then enrolled at Oregon Health & Science University, where I was awarded my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD).

Dentistry is rapidly evolving with the advancement of technology, materials, and techniques. What we thought was impossible in the past is now becoming more possible through understanding and learning.

My patients trust me to provide the best experience and results; and continuing education allows me to keep up with the latest and greatest to exceed their expectations.

I regularly attend high quality seminars, conferences, and lectures both locally and nationally. I have earned three fellowships from reputable dental organizations that required a certain amount of hours, frequent testing, and a lifetime commitment to learning.
